Housekeeper
Theatre Royal Winchester is seeking to employ a flexible and reliable relief cleaner to look after the buildings housekeeping needs, specifically covering holidays, sickness and busy periods. You will be expected to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness within the building. Hours are variable to compliment the theatre’s programme of work. An ability to work at weekends, Bank Holidays and throughout festive periods is essential.

Front of House Assistant
Theatre Royal Winchester is seeking to employ a Front of House Assistant to join the Front of House team during performances.

We have a beautiful 400 seat venue, rich in history but fully attuned to the 21st century. We present a dynamic programme of the highest quality drama, music, dance, comedy, children’s theatre and pantomime. Situated at the cultural heart of the city of Winchester we are committed to bringing our audiences the best work, as well as supporting artists and performers.

The ideal candidate will be confident and friendly, will have experience of bar work and customer service in a busy theatre environment, and will be a good communicator with a keen eye for detail.

This is a casual contract, predominantly involving weekend and evening work.

Volunteering

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers of all ages to join our friendly Front of House team.

Volunteering is one of the best ways to gain valuable experience of working in a theatre and to add a string to your bow for future employment. It’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and become part of our lovely theatre.

  • You make our audiences feel welcome and comfortable, and ensure they leave with a smile on their face.
  • You don’t have to commit to a lot of time (unless you want to!) and we’d love to have you on board.

Painter/Decorator Volunteers

The maintenance team work alongside the Maintenance Manager carrying out general maintenance tasks at Theatre Royal Winchester.

We are currently looking for a volunteer Painter/ Decorator to join the team 2 days a week. This volunteer position is ideal for anyone who has DIY or Painting knowledge.
