Following the company’s 10th Anniversary tour, mapdance, University of Chichester’s MA student performance company return with their 2017 production.

Featuring works from Shobana Jeyasingh, Lea Anderson, Cai Tomos, Hagit Yakira.

The emotional states of people sketched by Egon Schiele inspire Shobana Jeyasingh’s Dance Beneath. Jeyasingh has been creating extraordinary dance for 27 years.

Muhammad Ali, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and Janis Joplin are analysed and sampled in 4 Pop Portraits by Lea Anderson MBE, Artistic Director of The Cholmondleys and Featherstonehaughs.

Cai Tomos’ Wild is like one long dancing howl to the moon.

Hagit Yakira’s unique poetic style can be seen in About Touch which explores the idea that what we become is determined by what we touch.

Ranging in style and emotion, mapdance’s programme offers a diverse and refreshing evening of short dance works.
