The Board are particularly interested in those with experience and skills in the following areas: cultural diversity, accountancy, buildings and capital projects, charity fundraising, legal matters and human resources although all appropriate applications will be considered.

Young Theatre Royal Workshop Assistant
The Live Theatre Winchester Trust is looking for passionate and self-motivated Young Theatre Royal Workshop Assistants to join them.

The Trust is particularly interested in those with experience of working on theatre productions and with children and young people in a performative setting.

If successful at the interview, you will be called back for a practical trial supporting a session and leading a 10 minute game with young people.

 


 

Finance Manager (Part Time)
Live Theatre Winchester Trust, incorporating Theatre Royal Winchester and Hat Fair, is looking for a Finance Manager to manage the accounts, payroll and all aspects of financial record keeping and transactions including developing and monitoring annual budgets and cash flow forecasts in conjunction with the Business Director and Chief Executive.

Significant experience of financial management will be essential including taking responsibility for tax, vat and other statutory obligations.

An interest in theatre and the arts, experience of managing finances in the charitable sector and financially managing capital refurbishment projects will be an advantage.

Housekeeper
Theatre Royal Winchester is seeking to employ a flexible and reliable relief cleaner to look after the buildings housekeeping needs, specifically covering holidays, sickness and busy periods. You will be expected to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness within the building. Hours are variable to compliment the theatre’s programme of work. An ability to work at weekends, Bank Holidays and throughout festive periods is essential.

Volunteering

Front of House volunteers
We are always looking for dedicated volunteers of all ages to join our friendly Front of House team.

Volunteering is one of the best ways to gain valuable experience of working in a theatre and to add a string to your bow for future employment. It’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and become part of our lovely theatre.

  • You make our audiences feel welcome and comfortable, and ensure they leave with a smile on their face.
  • You don’t have to commit to a lot of time (unless you want to!) and we’d love to have you on board.

Painter/Decorator Volunteers

The maintenance team work alongside the Maintenance Manager carrying out general maintenance tasks at Theatre Royal Winchester.

We are currently looking for a volunteer Painter/ Decorator to join the team 2 days a week. This volunteer position is ideal for anyone who has DIY or Painting knowledge.
