The University of Winchester’s Musical Theatre and Theatre Production degrees are pleased to present Working, A Musical.

From Grammy and Academy award-winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked), comes a compelling and uplifting musical based on Studs Terkel’s best selling book of interviews with American workers.

This highly original musical focuses on the everyday lives of typical men and women, portraying the stories they have to tell and the hopes and dreams they wish to fulfil.

This new, revised version contains existing compositions from the original production by Stephen Schwartz and James Taylor alongside additional songs from Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).

This inspiring musical combines monologues, song and dance in order to paint a vivid portrait of those often overlooked by society. Working is a highly relevant and accessible musical, suitable to both those used to the daily grind and those yet to decide.
