Step into the world of The Secret Garden and bring this beloved classic to life in a brand-new way!
Theatre Royal Winchester is excited to offer a series of interactive workshops where young people, aged 7 to 12, will create their own adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett's magical story.
In this unique workshop experience, you will work alongside professional theatre practitioners to adapt The Secret Garden for the stage. Whether you're interested in acting, writing, directing, or designing, these workshops give you the chance to explore your creativity and help shape a fresh version of this classic tale.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with fellow young artists to reimagine the story of The Secret Garden
- Write your own scenes, dialogue, and characters to fit your vision of the garden's magic
- Act, direct, and perform in your new adaptation, with guidance from theatre professionals
- Explore stage design, props, and costumes to bring your ideas to life
Financial support
We hope that our prices are affordable, but we understand that it may not be affordable for everyone. We are able to offer financial support (such as bursaries) for whom the price is a barrier to joining these workshops.
