Join us for a one-night-only experience at the Hat Fair Community Celebration! An evening alive with dance, music, storytelling, and multigenerational joy.

What makes you feel truly alive? Where can you be your most authentic self, free, safe, and at ease? When does life feel like a beach?

Come on a journey of sound and movement as we explore the essence of Sanctuary. Together, we’ll celebrate the power of connection, belonging, and joy through every stage of life.

This unique experience features a soundscape woven from the voices of our community:

• Playmakers Drama Clubs (South Wonston, Wickham & Oliver's Battery Primary)
• The Amazing Fusion Choir
• 432 Nomads
• University of Winchester Music Production Students
• Blue Apple Theatre
• St John’s Almshouses

Brought to life by featured Hat Fair artists, including:

• Joli Vyann and their performance Life’s A Beach
• Original compositions by Chloe Kirson-Jones
• University of Southampton Artist Intern

Extras on the Night:

• A Young People’s Makers Market with beach-themed jewellery, prints, postcards, and more, starting from 5pm
• A live performance by local band North Drive from 6pm
• Beach Themed cocktails!
• A chance to show off your sunny side! Come dressed in your favourite beachwear, think sundresses, straw hats, and Hawaiian shirts!
