Flexible conference layouts

Depending on the scale of your event, our spaces can be booked individually or combined to create a fluid, multi‑room conference environment:

Large-scale conferences & keynotes

• The Auditorium: Host your primary presentations in our stunning, 400‑seat theatre. This offers professional stage lighting, house PA audio with microphones, and tiered seating across two levels to ensure every delegate has a perfect view.
• Backstage support: Use of the auditorium includes access to our backstage dressing rooms — ideal as private green rooms for keynote speakers or event organisers.

Breakout sessions & mid-sized presentations

• The Atrium: A unique, high‑ceilinged space accommodating up to 30 people.
• The Meeting Room: Perfect for smaller breakout groups, board meetings, or a dedicated event organiser's office (Capacity: 16 boardroom / 30 presentation style).

Catering, networking & exhibition space

• The Bar: Our contemporary, vibrant front‑of‑house space is available for private hire alongside your main event. It serves as the perfect hub for morning registrations, networking lunch buffers, or post‑conference drinks.
• Synergy: Booking the Atrium and Bar together creates a fantastic, versatile layout for corporate away days and training seminars.

Commercial & community rates (From 1st April 2026)

All standard rates are exclusive of VAT.

• The Auditorium (Up to 12 hours): From £1,800 (Mon‑Thu) / £2,400 (Fri‑Sun).
• The Bar & Atrium (Full day): From £750 (Mon‑Thu) / £1,200 (Fri‑Sun).
• The Meeting Room (Full day): From £280 (Mon‑Thu) / £350 (Fri‑Sun).

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Because Theatre Royal Winchester is proudly managed by the arts and education charity Play to the Crowd, your commercial hire fee directly supports our local community projects and creative educational work.
