How can I purchase a gift voucher?
Gift vouchers can be bought at any time online through our website. If you prefer to speak to someone, you can buy them over the phone by calling 01962 840 440 or in person at our Box Office counter on Jewry Street during our opening hours.
Where can Play to the Crowd gift vouchers be used?
Gift vouchers can be used across the entire Play to the Crowd family, including Theatre Royal Winchester, Hat Fair, and Playmakers Youth Theatre. They can be redeemed against any event at Theatre Royal Winchester's Box Office unless a specific exception is stated.
Can I use a gift voucher to buy drinks or interval ice creams?
Our gift vouchers are currently valid for ticket purchases only. They cannot be used to buy items at our bar or our auditorium refreshment kiosks, which accept cash or standard debit/credit cards.
How do I redeem my voucher?
Redeeming your voucher is simple:
- Online: Enter your unique voucher code in the designated payment field during the checkout process.
- By phone or in person: Simply quote your code to our Box Office team when securing your seats.
Do I have to spend the entire voucher balance all at once?
No, you don't. If the total cost of your ticket booking is less than the value of your gift voucher, the remaining balance will remain securely inside your customer account. You can use this leftover balance toward any future ticket purchase before the voucher's expiry date.
Are gift vouchers refundable?
Gift vouchers are non‑refundable and cannot be exchanged or traded for physical cash. Furthermore, once a voucher has been used to buy show tickets, those tickets are also completely non‑refundable in alignment with our standard booking terms and conditions.

Yes, you can easily schedule a gift voucher to arrive in that special someone's inbox on a specific, chosen date, making them a great option for birthdays.
When do gift vouchers expire?
Gift vouchers expire 24 months after the original purchase date.
