While you can book up to 10 tickets directly on our website in a single transaction, groups of 8 or more unlock access to exclusive discounts on selected performances, flexible reservation windows, and dedicated support from our team.

Group benefits and perks
Ticket discounts
We offer group discounts on a wide selection of performances.
When you speak to our team, we will always find the best available rate for your group size.
Book now, pay later
We know that organising a large group takes time. You don't need to collect money from everyone before securing your seats.
We can hold your group's seats for up to three working days without payment.
However, if the show is less than a week away (seven days or fewer), full payment is required at the time of booking.
Free post-show chats
A selection of performances offer completely free post-show talks with the cast and creative companies.
To enjoy these behind-the-scenes insights, your group simply needs to remain in their auditorium seats after the curtain drops.
Keep an eye out for these scheduled talks in our listing guide or on the individual event pages.
How to book and payment terms
Because large bookings require a bit of extra care, all group bookings are managed directly by our dedicated team.
- By phone: Call our Box Office on 01962 840 440 (Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 1pm).
- By email: Reach out to us at groups@playtothecrowd.co.uk
The payment process
Once your ticket numbers are confirmed, we will issue a direct invoice to your group booker. Please provide your preferred finance contact details when making your initial reservation.
Full payment must be received at least four weeks prior to the performance date.
Payments can be settled easily via BACS transfer or securely over the phone using a credit or debit card.
Please note: If your booking is cancelled or your ticket numbers are reduced less than four weeks before the performance, a charge of 50% of the total invoice value will apply.
Planning your visit
Ticket collection
Once full payment is received, we will email you a seating plan detailing where your seats are situated. Our team of ushers will have a copy of your seating plan with them on the day to ensure that we can get your group quickly settled in to their seats.
Alternatively, we can post your tickets directly to you for a small fee of £2 or you can opt to collect them from the Box Office counter entirely free of charge at any time before the performance starts.
Coach drop‑off point
If your group is arriving by coach, the designated drop‑off point is located directly in front of The Arc, right next door to the theatre on Jewry Street.
Upon arrival, let our Box Office team know you have arrived. A member of our staff will gladly come out to help escort your group into the theatre via The Arc’s paved square, ensuring everyone safely avoids walking along the main road.
Traffic tip: If you are booking a daytime performance during our festive pantomime season, please allow plenty of extra travel time to account for bustling Christmas shopping traffic in the city centre!
Age guidance and supervision
For the safety and comfort of all patrons, children and young people under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and always remain under direct supervision during the performance.
Access requirements
We want to ensure everyone in your group has a fantastic, comfortable experience. Please notify our team of any specific access needs — such as wheelchair accessible spaces, step‑free level seating requirements, or assistance dog spaces — at the time of booking so we can allocate the perfect seats. For full details on our facilities, please visit our Access page.
First aid
Your group is in safe hands. Fully trained first aiders are on duty for every single public performance at the theatre. If anyone in your party feels unwell or requires assistance, simply notify the nearest usher or member of our Front of House team.
